Anxiety Antidote Classes
60 minute classes to help you relax, reset and release.
Hello!
Welcome to my anxiety antidote!

The antidote to anxiety is the present moment.

Anxiety is created when we worry about things that are yet to happen - we time travel like Dr Who!

I use Breathwork & somatics (body based techniques) to show my clients how to calm their anxious brain and bring themselves back to the present moment.
Breathwork is the practice of changing the pace or depth of the breath for physical or emotional health benefits. Breathwork has been proven to help symptoms of stress, anxiety, asthma and panic attacks, to name a few!.

Somatics uses techniques connected to the body to bring us in tune with the signals our body is constantly giving us and from a place of safety to release anxiety & stress.

I am fully trained as a breathwork coach, with over 400 hours of personal training. Breathwork & somatics have helped me to practically eliminate migraines and IBS, by helping me to connect to my body and understand the signals my body sends when it needs me to slow down!

Let me guide you with how to solve anxiety & stress.

What Happens in a class?
Each session will normally start with some gentle meditation to help to come into the present moment and calm the mind.
We then move into a guided breathwork practice where I will use music or sometimes singing bowls or a drum to help you to fully relax into the breath technique. There will be some gentle movement in the session, using techniques that complement the breathwork, to help our body to release stored tension, emotion and anxiety

I will guide you through the whole session, there's no need to remember anything or to have done this before.

The main practice is done lying down or seated. If you are unable to lie on the floor, you can sit in a chair.
Benefits of Breathwork
in managing anxiety
Move yourself from anxious and stressed to calm and at peace, using only your breath. Once you've learnt how to do this, you'll be in complete control of how you feel throughout your day.

Using a particular breath technique we can rewire our brain from a traumatic response pattern to a more natural response. This is really helpful in addressing extreme anxiety, PTSD and other trauma connected issues

Breathwork can help us to let go of past trauma or stress by calming down a part of our brain called the default mode network. If we can release these feelings in a place of safety we then won't be triggered into that response anymore.

Using only our breath, we can change our state of arousal from switched on and hyped to calm and peaceful or vice versus. This is so useful in everyday life, when we may need to calm our response to someone who is triggering us, or perhaps be a bit more switched on to do something at work
